Waiting in Port au Prince

November 05, 2010General

We are waiting to hear how Haiti is faring during the hurricane. Our staff there have reported heavy rain for two days, but the fears are that the worst is yet to come. I cannot imagine living in a tent – or under a tarp – and waiting for a hurricane to hit. There are still 1.4 million people in Port au Prince living in tents. As a father I wonder how I would comfort my children. Would I be able to say – “Don’t worry, everything will be alright”?

Please pray for these families.
